Hello, before my freshman year I had never picked up a tennis racket, and this fall I will be receiving my plaque for fist team for the second year in a row. Some of the qualities that make me a good candidate are that I am a fast learner, adapt quickly, strong academically, although my top quality is that I am a leader. All of these qualities would make me a great candidate on any team, not only would I be just another player, I would become part of the community there at the school and on the team. I aspire to become a Dental Hygienist and academics are one of my top priorities. Although playing tennis in college is also one of my dreams. The past two years, when my team has gone to sectionals, we played at ATP. While I was there each time, I stood on the main court and looked around, I thought to myself that one day I will be playing there. The thing that I love the most about tennis is the fact that no matter what is going on in your life, it makes you forget about it all, when I'm playing, all my stress fades and its only me on the court (besides my partner). I never knew that I could love a sport so much, although if it weren't for the community around me and a supportive team then I don't know if I would be where I am today. This is why I am looking for a team and community similar, so that I can continue to grow and help others grow also.
