My goal is to play tennis in college, trading tennis for an education. I'm the type of athlete that plays with my heart, and that can't be measured by a stopwatch or by how much weight I can lift, although I do like working out. I think I am the type of player that any coach would want on their team. I've only been playing tennis for two years, so I don't have many bad habits, I am coachable! I have a strong desire to succeed, but I am also a team player and get joy out of seeing others improve and get better on a daily basis. Since starting tennis, I recognized that I needed to do whatever I could to "catch up" with other players. This is why I play tennis year round, taking private lessons, drill sessions and playing in leagues.
In terms of character, I am the type of person that does not judge others by what they have or don't have, where they come from or what their parents do. I like people for who they are and I like to think I make those around me better people. I have a passion for special education students, and volunteer time everyday at my school for those that need assistance. My goal is to be a special ed teacher.
