Penelope Giammarco '26 Recruiting Profile

I am a passionate and hardworking high school junior who loves tennis and is committed to academics. I've been playing tennis since I was 4 years old, and I'm always trying to learn more and become even better. I enjoy executing patterns of play and coming up with strategies based on the situation.

I'm currently working on improving key areas of my game, including my serve and return, court movement, and mental performance. I know these are critical parts of the college game, and I want to be the best player I can be in those areas. For example, I’ve been focusing on hitting more consistent and aggressive returns, especially on second serves, to gain control of points early. I’ve also been doing drills to improve my footwork so I can cover the court better and get to tough shots faster. Mentally, I’ve been practicing staying calm under pressure and bouncing back quickly after mistakes. I believe these areas will make me a stronger competitor and help me contribute even more to a team.

When I'm on the court, I'm an enthusiastic player and leader who is excited to bring my energy and dedication to the college game. Off the court, I'm just as passionate about my academics. I’ll be going into the athletic training field after college, and I'm determined to be a great student.

I'm also committed to being a positive ambassador for the tennis program. I'm a great teammate and will always represent the program with respect and integrity. I will be an asset to the team both on and off the court.

I will graduate from Perrysburg High School May 2026. I'm so excited for the chance to possibly join your college tennis program.
