Hi, I am Anne Taylor, a Junior at Beaver Area High School in Beaver, PA (Pittsburgh). When not attending school I can be found on the tennis court working to improve my game. I love the game of tennis, everything about it! On the court is where I am meant to be as every aspect of the competition and game excites me.
As a student athlete, it is my goal to attend a highly acclaimed University which plays in a great conference with a committed, top ranked Women's Tennis Program and academic reputation. If you are a coach at such a program, then contact me and let's talk. I promise, my play is top quality and I will work hard to succeed for you, the team, the school, and myself!
Tennis has been a part of my life since the age of 5; as a young Junior player in my early teens, I achieved much success. Unfortunately an injury kept me from playing competitively from 8th - 10th grade. Having missed playing competitive tennis during that time is probably what strengthened my love of the game.
With the needed time off, I made a strong comeback and focused in 2015 on qualifying for the finals of the Pennsylvania State High School Tournament. I worked hard and placed first for all AA schools in Western PA by winning the WPIAL AA Championship. This ranking assured I was one of the top 4 seeds in Pennsylvania for the PIAA AA tournament.
Working hard to achieve a goal is something that excites me. I only need to be told to do things once, can get along with anyone, and am down to earth, not taking myself too seriously while being able to laugh and enjoy life. Team is very important to me as well. Leadership is a natural part of my personality and character.
As my high school team leader, I love everything there is about the team atmosphere... leading, motivating, laughing, encouraging, setting goals, and setting the example for everyone else on the team. I am very much looking forward to doing the same for a top-level college tennis program. A program that will allow me to be a success for my school, my team, and myself… a program that will allow me to flourish both athletically and academically as I pursue my other dream, to be a pediatrician.
