My name is Brittany Poje, and i am currently a junior at East Stroudsburg South High School. I am 5'4, 39 in my class, and #1 singles on the court. I am ranked 43 in Middle States. Other then that, i went to states freshman year, as well as sophomore year. I have been playing tennis ever since i was able to run around and hold a racket. Through dedication, practices, and training, i have become the player i am today. I have a power game as well as a variety game. What i mean by this is that every point i play is never the same. I consider patterns, and i am always thinking on the court. Off the court, i go to personal trianing to work on strength, speed, and agility. One of the major parts of being an athlete, is being a student as well. When it comes to school, i am ranked rather high in my class, and i am in all honor and AP classes. In my eyes, as well as my parent, education comes first. Luckily, that is not a problem for me, and i always have time for both. Because i can balance both, i would love to pursue my tennis career in college. My ultimate dream is to play on a team that i adjust very well to, and get an education. I am a very competitive player, and i never give less then my best. Every time i get on the court, i give it my best, and never back down. Getting into my personality more, i believe that you can only win if you have confidence. If you go into a tuff match thinking im not going to do well, that exactly what is going to happen. I always think positive, and im always willing to talk to a teammate and give them confidence as well as things that will get them into a good mental state. Tennis is a game, but a mental game. Anyways, tennis is basically my life, and i would love to pursue iits at the collegiate level. As the years go on, i feel that my game will improve even more, and by senior year, i should be the best player possible. I just want to be a successful player, and through tournaments, practices, and workouts, i am trying my best.
