I am a student athlete who has not only excelled academically, but I have also taken time to volunteer, become involved in extracurricular activities, and work. I take my academics very seriously, but I also believe that it is important that I am involved in activities that help to shape my character. I decided to try tennis at the beginning of my ninth grade year, and I immediately gained a passion for the sport. Ever since, I have devoted so much of my time to tennis and have been involved in as many opportunities concerning the sport as possible, which has not been easy coming from a school that is not primarily known for its tennis athletes.
