My name is Sonakshi Sharma. I am currently a junior in Whitehall High School. I train under former professional Tomasz Tarczynski and college coach David Kurvink. Even though I started playing tennis quite late, when I was 11, my love for tennis has never been less. From the moment I started playing to this day, I still get excited to go to the courts to hit and improve.
In addition to playing tennis almost every day with the highest drive of passion, I have done fairly well in school as well. As a junior, I have taken a total of 7 AP classes and plan on taking 5 more during my senior year. I am also a part of many clubs including all the offered National Honors Societies in my school. Additionally, I fall under the top 5% of students in my class. I also volunteer outside of school in many places such as temples and help coach little kids tennis with David Kurvink. Outside of school, I love drawing and singing as well.
The people who are around me would desrcibe me as hardworking, passionate, determined, dependable, caring, and compassionate. Some might even say I am stubborn because once I decide on something, I end up completing it. I love talking to others and surrounding myself with people with similar interests as mine. Playing tennis gives me a motivation to do even better in life.
