My name is Sofia Isabel Pagan Rivera, in my family I’m an only daughter and the youngest of all. Because of this people may think that I can have anything I ask for, but that really not true. Since I was a little girl my family teach me to be humble and happy with what I have and to always pursue my dreams. My life in school has been memorable. I passed from being a normal student of average grade, to be a honor student only by working hard so I can archive my future goals. Everyday I work harder and harder so my family notice that I’m thankful for the sacrifice they do to so I can be able to practice my sport. When I started playing tennis I was 7 years old, a little girl without idea that this sport was going to change everything. As time go by tennis has teach me things that I can’t think a better way to be teach for example: Passion, courage, love and respect. As a single tennis player I have also learned to control my anger and never put my mind in negativity because that blocks our thought and in a game that's not what we want. All of this has been reflected in personality every year even more, everyday thanks to this I can be a better daughter, a better friend and person. Many people can think tennis is only a sport but for me, tennis is my way to feel free and that no one bothers me. This sport is my dream, I can’t imagine my life without it, I want to have the honor to represent a university playing tennis, doing what I love. Also, represent that here in Puerto Rico we have extraordinary prospects in different sports and that the talent of your skills it’s not define by your family limitations, its by your passion.
