Carolina Betancourt '17 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Carolina and I'm from Puerto Rico. Tennis has been a part of my life since I can remember and I aspire to become not only a better player, but a better person. Besides my commitment to improving my tennis skills, every day I search for new ways to reach out to people and to better understand them. I've learned through many team experiences that making your teammates comfortable and letting them know that I am always there to support and encourage them is very important for the building and success of a team. Commitment, support, and aspirations have become a part of my daily life because it is not only important in sport activities, but in academic performance. By including these I've created a happy and stable environment where I can balance school work and sports. Out of all my classes I felt the most connected to mathematics, therefore this year I've decided that I want to study accounting. I just hope that out of this process I find a team and school that fits with my personality, academics, and athletics.
