When I Was 5 I fell in love with tennis after a tennis fall camp. I loved it. 7 years later I actually became part of a team. I’ve played for Dorman Highshool for 5 years now, I’ve played junior varsity player for 2-3 years and I’ve played Varsity for 2 years now. I worked hard to become a varsity level player, after my 8th grade season, I’d watch matches, go to tournaments, take Lessons, do clinics, and practice 1v1. I knew I wanted to get better and focus all my thoughts and energy onto tennis. I’m always on court or in the gym doing tennis workouts to improve my performance. I do a club called junior USTA in Spartanburg SC. I play 1 singles match and 2 doubles matches, 1 mixed doubles, and 1 girls doubles match in a day. During my off seasons for highschool and club, I will do lessons, clinics, and workouts to help stay in shape and to improve my skills.
Not only is making improvements and accomplishments on the court is important but it’s also important to keep making accomplishments in the classroom. I take Honors/ AP classes. It’s important for me to keep my GPA up to a 3.9-4.5 gpa. I try to not let my grade go below an A. Studying and working hard is as important as it is on the court.
My goals in life and as a player is to Graduate with all my credit completed, end highschool with a high GPA, get recruited for tennis, to become all region, possible go to state individually and as a team, become captain of the team, get more wins, build a better team with friendships and accomplishments and build positive connections with my team and coaches and the program.
I will work hard to achieve my goals and the main goal overall is to become a better player, friend, teammate, and student.
