Personal Statement

My name is Payton Tomichek, and I will be a graduate of the class of 2024. I am interested in your tennis program, and I would be an asset to your team and institution. I have balanced a demanding independent practice and tournament schedule while excelling at a full-time academic high school and believe this will translate well at the next level. My goal is to continue to grow and excel both academically and athletically with a college or university team.

As I enter my senior year, I have maintained a 4.3 cumulative GPA, have been involved in many academic and service organizations, and have competed in high level USTA, UTR, and ITA tennis tournaments. Currently I am a 4-star recruit, am top 160 in my recruiting class, and have an 8.3 UTR. Some of my highlights include:
  • Win against a top 50 G18s player
  • 4 wins against 5-star players
  • 6th place finish National L3 G18s
  • 5th place finish National L4 G18s
  • 3rd place finish National L5 G18s
  • 4th place finish National L3 G18s (Dominant Duo format)
I also love playing doubles and have competed deep into many high-level tournaments.
