My name is Paige Jones. I will be going into my junior year at Austin High School. I am a 5’6” 135 pound tennis player, and I have been playing tennis since I was five years old. I go to a club called MAC360 that is one of the top 3 clubs in Austin Texas for about three years now. I also have a private trainer by the name of Neil Adams who is the Chairman of the USTA -Texas Junior Competitive Project Team and member of the USTA National Junior Competitive Committee. He was also the former head coach at University of Illinois Urbana Champaign.
In my freshman year of high school, I made the varsity tennis team. I was line six for singles and line three for doubles. That same year our team won bi-district. My sophomore year of high school I played line two for singles and line one for doubles.
Ever since the summer of my 8th grade year my dad has trained me on strength, conditioning, and agility to get ready for the following school year. For the first two weeks of summer we would workout everyday for an hour and a half. After two weeks, we would start working out three out of the five days before going to practice at MAC360. I go to tournaments as much as possible to enhance my game and to gain experience. In school I always focus on my studies, it has been a priority since I can remember. During my school career, I have always gotten all A’s and B’s for my semester grades. The subjects that I perform best in are English, History, and Science courses and I do fine in math.
Outside of school and tennis, I love listening to music and playing guitar and the piano. I try and have a good attitude wherever I am. At school or on the court. I try to uplift people when they are feeling down. I know I would make a great addition and bring value to any team - in the classroom and on the court.
