Lindsey Whelan '23 Recruiting Profile

Hi my name is Lindsey Whelan and I am a current senior at Mercer Island High School in Washington state. I began playing tennis when I was 8 year old and have grown up with a deep passion for the sport. I have experience with both club and high school tennis and I am very excited to continue to play more tournaments this upcoming year. I am also looking forward to my last high school season where I get to lead my team as captain. Throughout high school, I have had such an amazing experience with high school tennis because I enjoy the team aspect so much.  Growing up I played many different team related sports and when I chose tennis as my main sports I began to miss these team sports. High-school tennis introduced me to a new love for this sport because I got to experience being on a team and building connections with people who shared an interest in tennis. Since I have had such a positive experience being on a team in high school tennis I decided that I want to play in college as well and continue to improve and build more connections.
