Personal Statement

I started track five years ago and found a great love for it. My most profound memory from this sport was when I did hurdles for the first time last year in 10th grade, and went to state too. I ranked high and was very grateful for the opportunity! I found many life lessons through this, one being to try new things even if you are scared to and to realize the potential you have in different areas of your life. This by far was one of the greatest lessons I learned and will carry it with me for the rest of my life.

My goal is to find a school that fits me and that I can strive and excel in life with. College is a huge aspiration of mine, but to continue my athletic career and competing years longer would be a love of mine to accomplish. Track and Field has always held a place in my heart, and I would love to continue my years of running and hurdling well beyond highschool. From the time I first set foot on a track in 7th grade a deep connection was made. I have a lot of work to do now, but I believe I am one who looks for success in all areas and a coachable person to be around. I also will be there for all of my teammates and help make them better in any way I can. Not only do I work hard on my sports, but I work hard with my grades and continue to flourish with them. I like to balance my academic and athletic accomplishments! You can count on me to be giving it my all in every area of my life, including sports!
