Kennedy Carter '24 Recruiting Profile

Hi my name is Kennedy Carter, I’m a dedicated student with aspirations to succeed in an education degree and continue my sports career throughout post secondary. i’m from a small town in Alberta, Canada with a current population of 5,900 people. Growing up in such a rural area, i’ve never had the opportunity to gain exposure for my track journey.  I strive for the opportunity to gain exposure across all platforms in hopes of receiving a scholarship.

I first encountered triple jump at the age of 12 and instantly fell in love with it. Since then i’ve competed for my school track team and joined a club track team in 2019 and have been competing all-season ever since. I recently started high jumping at the beginning of the 2022 outdoor season and excelled quickly. Although I am very new to this event, my passion for the event has grown tremendously over the past couple months.

As a student, i’ve been taking honour classes for aslong as they’ve been available to me. Outside of my training, my priority is maintaining my grades.
