As a runner it has always been my goal to be the best possible athlete but also the best student. Throughout high school, I've been surrounded by amazing athletes, coaches and teachers, and I wish to take this positivity with me wherever I next go to school. In college I hope to grow as an athlete and take my running to the next level, but also become a successful student in the classroom. Watching various seniors go off to run in college and grow into the athlete our coach knew they’d become, I can't help but feel the excitement and anticipation build, wanting that for my own running career
My running career began in 4th grade, I always had a choice to choose a different sport but I always came back to running. Running is different; it challenges you both physically and mentally, and you have to rely on yourself to run faster because nobody else can do it for you. My love and passion for running grows more and more, which allows me to come back to running every year and work hard to break my PR’s from the previous year. Now that hard work, love, and passion has made it so that I might get the opportunity to continue this adventure into college.
