Personal Statement

My name is Anna-Veronika Titova and I'm a dedicated Cross Country and Track & Field athlete since 2017. I'm a 2-time first-place team finisher for the South Fraser Cross Country Championships where I represent the cross-country team at Semiahmoo Secondary. Cross-country and Track are both sports that I value deeply and continuing my athletic career in college is very important to me.

I am viewed as a hardworking and consistent athlete by my peers and friends, but mainly by my club track & field coach, Ted de St. Croix. My ability to remain consistent, determined, and hardworking has left me to make progress in my athletic career come naturally, and I believe this to be an important asset for a college athlete to have a strong work ethic.

My tendency to remain focused and consistent with my training has left me dropping my times and achieving higher place finishes in my province compared to previous running seasons I had. I believe this hardworking attitude I contain is the key to achieving success at the Division 2 level.

When it comes to choosing what school I would like to go to, I'm drawn more to the west and possibly the Midwest, but I'm open to new opportunities. I would like to major in kinesiology or any other biology-related undergraduate as I want to be a sports physiotherapist. When it comes to institutions, I want to pursue my desired major and be able to compete at a Division 2 level, as I can make drastic improvements under the guidance and influence of a D2 coach and team.

My main athletic goal is to compete in my sport at a higher competitive level, and to prove that I can put in the work, effort, and passion to be a suitable athlete at a Division 2 level. Another goal of mine is to make an impact on the team as a team player to achieve success. I love being in a team of passionate people who are hardworking and motivate each other not only in track but in life.
