My name is Caitlyn Couch and I've been running since I was 7 years old. I started with Track first which lead me to join Cross Country at the age of 8. I then at the start of High School joined my school's Basketball team. In all three I have been very successful and feel like I still have room for improvement.
In Track and Cross Country, my main sports, I've always wanted to go further and reach for higher goals. When I was little I saw myself reaching for the Olympics. Then high school hit and the competition increased and I still have the goal of making the Olympics. This dream has kept me working hard and taking it step by step, which involves me going to college to get that extra boost to my goal.
In school, I try and work my hardest, although I know I have to work a lot harder than I currently am. I am a part of student government and also part of campus ministry, which is the group at Bellarmine Jefferson (a Catholic School) that plans the masses and retreats for the school. Along with all of that, I am also the Girls Track and Cross Country Captain.
As of this school year (2017-2018) I have just transferred to Crescenta Valley High School. I am continuing to be apart of Track and Cross Country. My main focus of senior year are my two sports and school work it self, along with graduating.
To updated my profile:
Out of high school I began to run at San Diego State. I ran one cross country season and one track season. After the first year my grades were not where they should’ve been. So I stayed for another semester then transferred to a Community College back home in LA. I have since with covid, not been in school and want to go back to finish my education as well as carry out my full potential in running. Even though I haven’t been on a team I’ve been helping coach Sacred Heart of Jesus High School in LA.
