Hi! I’m Aaliyah and I’m an incoming senior this year. I’ve been running track since my freshman year of high school, and as the years have gone, I’ve become fully committed to this sport. I grew up playing team sports like volleyball and tennis, but the individual aspect of track is what drew me in. Every day I’m eager to learn something and be a student of the sport. Track has taught me things that no other sport ever has, like discipline, positivity, trusting the process, and passion. Aside from track and running, I‘m just as passionate in my academics. As a part of the BioMedical Academy in my school, I’ve learned that I really enjoy biology and health sciences. I hope to study this in college and work towards my future career in health and medicine!

- Not only did we do intensive college-styled workouts, but the Stanford Coaches also focused on speed mechanics. We did quality sprint workouts while focusing on things like low heel recovery, max velocity, and reaction time. The competitive nature of the camp made my experience so much fun!

- I had a great time learning from coaches like Dwight Thomas, TJ Lawson, Bill Lawson, Larry Ryans, and so many more. The experience taught me a lot and gave me insight on how I am going to approach my senior season, and ways to improve my mental game. I'm excited to apply the principles I learned from this camp throughout my upcoming season!

- I attended IMG's Summer Camp for sprints from 6/08/2024-7/01/2024. I had a great time and learned a lot from coaches like Bill Lawson, TJ Lawson, Dwight Thomas, Caleb Phillips, Larry Ryans, and so many more! This training opportunity improved my overall running form and mindset for my events.

- I attended a Stanford track camp from July 8-11 where I made new connections, learned new drills and techniques, and got one-on-one coaching with Stanford University sprints coaches!
