Madison Rust '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Madison Rust. I have been successful as a multi-sport athlete (Cross Country, Track and Field, and Basketball). I am excited about being able to compete in college. I have participated at  the varsity level for all sports each season. Due to Covid, my Freshman year was very limited with trainings and competitions. My best 3 mile time is 17:39 during my current junior year. This is a significant improvement from 22:57 in my Freshman year. Again, due to COVID, I have only had one track season. I am working diligently to reduce my times in this upcoming track season like I did with my cross country times. 

In addition to working hard on the track, I  also work hard in the classroom.  My current G.P.A. is a 4.5 which includes a course load of AP and Honors classes. I am very organized and can handle the pressure of being a student athlete in college. I was named San Gabriel Valley Tribune Area All Valley Cross Country Team. I have received CIF Southern Section Academic Awards for Cross Country, Track, and Basketball.

At this time, I am interested in being a Firefighter in order to help others. I am always willing to volunteer when I can in order to help those in need. I have a big heart and look to put others first.
