My name is Emma Rosillo and I am a junior at La Quinta High School in the Coachella Valley near Palm Springs. It was during my sophomore year I realized my true passion was on the track and wanted to pursue a long term career in athletics on and off of the track. I have ran for the varsity team at La Quinta High school since I was a freshman. During my freshman season I qualified for the Desert Valley League in the 100, 200 and 4x1. That year I helped set a new school record with a time of 49.33. During my sophomore I continued to better my times and I added the 400 to my list of races as well as the 4 x 4 relay. Last year I helped my 4x1 relay team break the school record again with a time of 49.13.
I am currently in the middle of my third high school season and continue to PR this season. My GPA is currently a 4.3 and I am taking HP and IB classes.
My goal is to run in college and well as continue my professional career in the field of athletic development. I was born with hip dysplasia and after surgery at seven months old I have had to work hard to ensure I take care of my body and cross and corrective train as well as eat appropriately for my sports and the specific training.
