My name is Zanneiah Howard and I've been running for my varsity track team over at Riverdale High School for the past 3, now going on 4 years of my high school career. Running has always been a hobby of mine, and since my freshman year which marks the beginning of my track career, I've only gained more love for it. The excitement it brings to me being out and competing in my events each year only drives for me to continue my passion throughout college.
I describe myself as an enthusiastic, positive worker who is more than dedicated to completing whatever task is assigned to me but never complaining about the process. I show persistent and hardworking effort in doing something, both in the classroom and on the track. Here's one good example: I was striving for a new PR, as my goal was to get 1st place at our All Sierra Championships along with the rest of my relay team, so what I did was train every day for an additional 2 hours outside of school after leaving my team practice to individually work more on my fundamentals. Another thing that I'd like to mention about myself is that I am always open to constructive criticism. I believe it takes a great listener in order to flourish, so I am always looking for feedback so that I can further improve as an athlete.
