Running has been an interest of mine since 7th grade. Being able to run and be the best athlete on the track is what matters most to me. I have always been an active kid and being able to use this energy and time on sports such as volleyball and track makes me happy. I officially started my track career my freshman year of high school as a last minute decision and that was the best decision that I could’ve ever made. Running track allows me to be a better version of myself. By this I mean that I can let off anger, stress, and even nerves just by sprinting a 100m or 200m. Track also has allowed me to gain a big amount of motivation to do really anything, but most mostly motivation in school. Competition does not scare me, but in fact brings out the best in me and allows me to overcome that obstacle. “I want to win” “I want to be the best'' is all I ever think and going against someone who is better than me will only make me more determined to do better. I am a fast learner and a coachable athlete. When I am passionate about something, I give it my all and I become determined to be the best at it. I love being on teams and being able to interact with others and cheer them on, that’s another plus to sports. Being able to continue my track and volleyball career into college would mean the world to me.
