Kendra Williams '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Kendra and I am a dedicated and passionate track and field athlete. I’m really looking forward to my senior year of high school, both academically and in track and field. I began competing in track and field in the 6th grade and was fortunate to win individual league and county championships but was not introduced to pole vaulting until my sophomore year after having athletics disrupted due to the pandemic for 2 years. Also, during that sophomore year, I competed in volleyball and basketball in addition to track and field. During my junior year I competed in varsity basketball which delayed my track season due to our success. Unfortunately, the start of my track season was also delayed by injury but I was able to work hard at recovering while still competing. I didn’t do as many running events during my junior year, but I managed to win the MHAL and BVAL championships in pole vaulting while improving my PR to 11’. I also captured 2nd place at the Central Coast Section Championships by tying a meet best of 11’ in the finals and thus securing a place in the CIF State Championships. 

My goal is to compete in track and field at the collegiate level. I am a team player who is willing to step in when and where I am needed.
