I began running track at the age of six. Over my first few years of competition in youth track I won and placed at many regional and national events. Winning first place at the Las Vegas invitational at 100 meters and placing second at the Phoenix invitational. I was also part of a second place 4x1 team at the USATF national championships. During my last three years of youth track I switched to the 800 meters where my times were very competitive. I began to lose my fire for training due to nagging injuries, but I fought through because of my love for running.
I was fortunate that my parents chose an amazing high school for me to attend that could nurture and push me academically and physically. My first two years in high school I competed in the 800 but it didn't seem like the correct fit for me any more. My junior year I moved back to sprints where I started my track journey and began to P.R. on a consistent basis. I also got a chance to achieve one of my goals by competing at the 2017 California State meet as third leg on the 4x1. I plan on having an exceptional senior year and set P.R's in all of my events. I am now in the process of searching for a good fit for me academically and athletically. I believe my work ethic and leadership will be an impact to any school I attend.
