I have been running track since I was in 5th grade, focusing on mostly sprinting events. It was in 8th grade when I first took interest in long distance running and hurdling. This is my 3rd year running varsity track and I continued my interest in running long distance by running 2 years of cross country. I’m also a 3 year starting point guard and a 2 year captain for my high school varsity basketball team.
I firmly believe that my experience as a captain and a leader has prepared me to contribute and make an immediate impact on a college team. I’ve learned that nothing comes easy in athletics or academics, and I have and will continue to strive to reach my goals. My goal is to compete and run the 3200, 1600, 800; and 60, 100, and 400 hurdles at the collegiate level. I always challenge myself to be better on the track and in the classroom with advanced placement classes. I am a fierce competitor and never back down from a challenge!
My ideal college coach would be with a program that pushes and challenges me and my teammates to be great on and off the track!
