Personal Statement

I've been running since I was 11 years old. Since the beginning of High School, I've always wanted to run in college. I want to be the first in the family to play a sport in college. I know that running win college will change my life and I will become a better athlete than I already am. I would love to continue playing in college because, this is what I love to do, I am committed and take my trainings seriously and my meets. At the same time I want to have fun but, know when to take things seriously. I train 6 days a week, Sundays are my only break as a runner. What makes me a  good candidate for their team is that I'm committed and I train hard and I always listen to my coaches. At the same time I try to learn as much as possible from my coaches.

  • Train 7 days a week. We meet at the library, then we do our one lap mile as our warm up. Then, we stretch as a team. Coach tells us what our run is afterwards. Some days we do mile repeats or 800 repeats. Then, once practice is over sometimes people want to be rolled out with a roller or by hand with lotion. Our track practice is about 1/2 hours. After that, practice is over.
  • Soccer
  • 7 years
  • We do 3 laps around the baseball fields first. Then, we stretch as a team. Next, we start doing drills. Towards the end, we sometimes scrimmage each other to be prepared for tournaments. Then, practice is over.
  • Cross Country
  • 4 years
  • We do our 1 mile warm up. Stretch. Coach tells us what were doing next. Then, we either do 800's or 400's on certain days. (Once per week at most) If we don't do repeats then we go out for a long run. Longest during school days would be 3-5. But, Saturdays we do 8 miles. (Mainly going uphill)

By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
