I have been running since I can remember, and have dreamed of competing in college. I started running track in middle school, that is where I started hurdling. When I started track my freshman year of high school I was immediately set back by an injury I sustained while hurdling, this shook my confidence quite a bit and I started hurdling again my sophomore year. I continue to work very hard to improve my confidence. I believe this shows how hard I work because it shows I don't give up easily and I push myself. I work hard and give it my all in every race and workout. I train year round, when it is not track season I go to the gym, play other sports, and swim. I work hard in school and I maintain a 3.7 GPA or higher. I also volunteer at high fives which is a nonprofit organization that helps those who suffer life altering injuries. Running in college has always been a dream of mine, if I have a chance to run for a school that is a good fit for me I will not hesitate to take the opportunity.
