My name is Jordynn Stom. I am a resident in the coastline town of Ventura, CA. I am enrolled in Ventura High School. One of my biggest supporters in my athleticism is the community I live in. With the beach so close, it is a place where I can surf, swim, and kayak. The local hills and Los Padres National Forrest provide locations to hike and trail run.
I have been able to strive as a student-athlete and conquer two major medical conditions, Epilepsy and Systemic Lupus. I continue to educate myself and learn about these two conditions. By getting adequate rest, proper nourishment, and living in a healthy environment, I have learned not to limit myself and excel in life. With the support of my family and my coaches, they've continued to fine tune my physical and mental abilities.
As an older sister, I choose to perform with 100% effort to set examples for her to follow in my footsteps as a roll model. Not only do I try to set an example through athleticism, I amvery diligent in setting an example for my community through Young Life, Christian youth group.
Transitioning to higher education, I'll have the ability to plan for my future by selecting my study path. This will bring me one step further to accomplishing my education goals as an athletic trainer and continue them throughout the medical field.
