My goals in college are to continue training in pole vault, and possibly hurdles. I hope to be able to train at a higher level and be able to push myself and my abilities, hopefully as a collegiate athlete. One of the many things that makes me want to work harder in pole vault is that there will always be room for improvement. There will always be a bigger pole to get on, a longer step to take, and mental block to overcome. Throughout high school I have always been a part of a team. It has become a routine for me to go to school, and after, take part in sport activities. I have been a part of the tennis, soccer, track, and sports medicine training teams. Through these teams I have learned how to work well and cooperate with other people and make new connections. Being a part of a team after school has also taught me about time management with my academics. Freshman year I was active in three different sports, which had forced me to prioritize my time, doing what was necessary. Learning and training for pole vault has taught me many lessons though high school and I would love to get the chance to train at the collegiate level.
