Sasha Clifford '26 Recruiting Profile

My dedication and love for Cross Country and Nordic really kicked off this year. At the beginning of this year, being a Junior I thought it was too late to find a passion for the sport, but since then I have learned I was wrong. Not only do I have a passion for running/skiing, but I have also learned what it means to be a team. Throughout the season I learned dedication matters, its all about mentality, the more you give the more you receive, and various other important skills that I would give as advice to others, and myself. My team has taught me that I don't have to do everything alone, that we are in it together, and the importance of good friendships. In return I brought positivity and dedication to my team. Outside, my red hair definitely sets me apart from my peers, but inside my determination drives my motivation, and that is a quality that I have noticed less throughout my community. I find my determination as a gift, and something that sets me apart in a good way, I am always trying to push myself, and have a hard time quitting something that I have dedicated myself too.
