This will be my third and final year of competing in high school track and field, I started Track my sophomore year with no prior expertise in the sport merely because I quit Basketball and needed something else to fill my time. I began in only sprinting events such as the 100 and 200m dash, but asked if I could try hurdles only 3 meets before the state meet. With little to no experience, I was thrown right into hurdling. I caught on fast attending the Colorado state meet my first year competing. In my junior year, I had a similar situation happen when I started running the 300m hurdles halfway through the season. My second meet running them I had already qualified for both the 100 and 300m hurdles! I have so much more to learn and am excited for the experiences to come.
