Thank you for taking a look at my profile. Even before I was introduced to track and field, I had set high goals and aspirations for myself knowing that my hard work could take me far whether I had enough talent or not. I have always had aspirations to participate at the college level. I have always had dreams that have separated me from the rest of the kids in my class. I strive to put forth my best effort through academics and sports while keeping a positive attitude along the way.
Growing up in a small town where everyone has average goals, I knew from the start to achieve my dream I have to advocate for myself and do the little things that separate me from being average. After working on myself mentally and physically, I have improved my mental toughness greatly. Especially with the many setbacks I have encountered, I have learned each time to come back stronger and continue to work to achieve my dream. I am a team leader and lead by example to not only improve myself but also encourage my teammates. I am also very coachable and strive off of criticism, knowing there is always room for improvement. I strive every day to be one of the hardest-working student-athletes.
I commit to working hard year-round for track and field by consistently practicing 2-3 times a week, participating in indoor track meets, weightlifting, participating in gymnastics in the fall season, and focusing on fueling my body with the correct nutrition that will set me up to be the best version of myself.
In the classroom, I study very hard to maintain a high GPA. I am currently in dual enrollment with a community college nearby working to get my Associate of Science-Biology to set myself up for future success at a 4-year college. I have been inducted into the National Honors Society and am a member of the Fellowship of Christian Students as the treasurer. I also volunteer at my local church, Fort Morgan United Methodist Church, and help with a community leadership program, Kids at Their Best.
I aspire to attend a college that pushes me in the classroom and on the track. Where I can set myself up successfully for my future while still achieving my lifetime dream. I am open to all available options and am excited to show you what my abilities can offer for your program.
