I would like to introduce myself; my name is Morgan Elizabeth Combs, and I am currently a sophomore at Daniel Hand High School. I have been fortunate enough to compete alongside some of the most inspiring people I have ever met. Our school community is very strong and supportive, as we are known as "Tiger Country". Our school spirit and competitive nature encourages me to try harder and be better academically and athletically. My success stems from a strong foundation and family support that has instilled strong work ethics, diligence, and discipline. Growing up I was never pressured to be number one, just encouraged to give it my all. I found my true passion Freshman year when I joined indoor track. My coach saw my ability and dedication to the sport and brought me up to varsity where I lettered. Since then, my times have been improving and I have come to realize that I have the desire to continue my running career throughout college. Not only am I interested in running, but I also have multiple extra-curricular activities that I am involved in. I have been elected to serve as the co-president of the Uganda club for my upcoming Junior year. I am also a proud member of the Diversity Club and Habitat for Humanity. Giving back to my community means so much to me, as my goal is to make an impact on those around me. I appreciate all that I have and never take my opportunities for granted.
