Devyn Battistoni '23 Recruiting Profile

Hello. My name is Devyn Battistoni and I live in Simsbury, CT with my two sisters and my parents. Growing up I have been fortunate to attend an excellent high school and live in a wonderful town. I have been able to experience competitive sports and have been held to a high standard of learning in school.  At five years old I began gymnastics and worked very hard at becoming a Level 7 gymnast.  By the time I was 11, I was in the gym five days a week while juggling my school work, friends and volunteering at church. My highest achievement with gymnastics was scoring a 10 on my floor routine. I also worked very hard at becoming a Varsity Soccer player in High School. I started my pole vaulting career later in High School and unfortunately, due to COVID, wasn't able to take advantage of the past three years. But I worked extremely hard to build up my strength and knowledge of the sport to place in the State Open and All New England's this past year.  My PR is 10'.  When I have a goal in my sights, I will work extremely hard to achieve that goal. This is what I am prepared to do at the college level. My aspirations are to continue with pole vaulting and become a better athlete.  I also want to become the best student I can be. I have a strong character, in that, I set my mind to something and work very hard at achieving to be the best I can be. Whether it be a sport, academics or other interests such as theater.  My high school is nationally ranked and is considered to have a rigorous academic program so I am accustomed to having a full schedule and work very hard on studies. 

I am excited to see what I will be able to achieve and excited to see what opportunities I will be given.  Thank you for reading a little bit about me!
