Hello! My name is Jenna Rosado and I am a 2023 Distance Track and Cross Country athlete.
My experience in Cross Country dates back to the seventh grade where I had first developed my love for endurance sports; however, this was not where my passion for running had first emerged. I had played soccer since I was old enough to kick a ball, yet it was not the game that kept me intrigued. It was the excitement of zipping down the field, pushing myself to new limits and seeing how fast my legs would let me go. I was the fastest on my team, but once I started running competitively, nothing could compare to my love for Cross Country and Track. I decided to quit soccer and put all my effort into becoming a better runner.
Though it contributes heavily, my love of running is not the only reason I enjoy Track and Cross Country. A large part is due to the positive team atmosphere. My team has stuck together through many endeavors. We have supported each other through every race, whether the outcome be good or bad. We push each other during every practice, fighting to improve together. They have become some of the best friends that I have ever made.
I have always dreamed of being a great runner, therefore I put 100% of my effort into every workout that I do. I want to create a meaningful impact and make the team I run for proud. I was given the honor of being named Cross Country MVP in my Freshman and Sophomore years and Track and Field MVP in my Sophomore and Junior year. I also currently hold ten records for my high school in Track and one in Cross Country.
I am looking for a program that will prove beneficial yet challenging both on the track and in the classroom. I am excited to welcome experience from new coaches and gain knowledge to develop my skills further!
