Personal Statement
My name is Valeria Busca and I attend Doral Academy Charter Highschool Prepatory. I am apart of the class 2023 and I am a track and field athlete. I have always believed that "hard work beats talent when talent fails to work hard". That is a quote that represents me as a student-athlete. I have always been recognized to be a leader within my community including my teamates. I love the role of being a leader because it not only benefits my teamates , but myself included. I like to help others achieve what they once found unachievable and this helps motivate me even more as a runner. I can never settle for anything less than extrodinary because my parents have always showed me to never settle for what is brought to the table but for what you believe you deserve. I have always had an athletic background with doing over 4 competitive sports and succeeding at all of them. Sports has always helped me keep myself on the path to success. Sports at the end of the day has shaped the person who I am today. If there is one thing I have learned is never settle for anything less than extrondinary.

- AwardsIn the past years of my athletic career I have always been well known as an athlete who leads the pack. As well as the most hard working athlete. I have received several leadership awards, Rookie of the year, and MVP. I have always been very good at balancing my athletic career, educational life, and social. I am currently team captain on my team and excited to help the young team rebuild from the ground up.
