My main goal of university is to compete in the Track and Field event of the 800m. Simultaneously, I will be a full-time student majoring in Economics, minoring in International Relations, and hope to complete my bachelor's degree by age 20 and interning for the UNESCO branch of the UN. I qualify as a great candidate for your team not only due to my successful 7 years in school track, 3 years in Cross Country, and theh various awards I have picked up along the way, but the versatility in my capabilities on the track; from working from in Cross Country in order to strengthen my stamina and endurance, which is a major factor in the 800m, but also competing in various sprinting events throughout the years to pick up on the speed component as well. I have always been able to utilize my unique speed to bypass others during the race and implement my distance training with carrying on that speed throughout the two laps, while still maintaining additional speed for the last stride. My years in competing in Cross Country in high school has aided in helping me to have the endurance needed to put forth 100% effort throughout the entirety of the race. In addition, I have been able to manage practicing and competing in the sport while maintaining honors status in my academics as an IB (International Baccalaureate) and AP Scholar student, and contributing to multiple school clubs and volunteering opportunities within my community, such as Relay for Life and in my local churh. Overall, I am unique in my versatility on and off the track, allowing me to stand out among many other athletes.
