Hello! I am Miley Edwards and as of the moment I am a sophomore at Fivay High School! I have been doing Track since 6th grade but I couldn't play in my 7th grade year because of COVID but that didn't hurt my spirits I still practiced when at home. Then my next year when coming back to track as a 8th grader I set 3 new records for my middle school team. I set the records for the 100m, 200m, and the shot put record. Then when coming into High School I knew I wanted to get better, I had/have a goal and that is to beat my moms records for when she did track. I have completed half of my goal by beating her in the 200m but I still need to beat her in the 100m. Once I do that I will only have my own records to beat and I can't wait till that day happens. Not only do I play track but I also play volleyball and soccer in my school. I've done volleyball from 6th grade to my freshman year I didn't do it my sophomore year because I wanted to focus more on academics. Adding to other sports I participate in I also have been playing soccer from 7th grade to my sophomore year. In volleyball I was a setter and in soccer I play defense, mid, and forward. I play whatever position my coach needs some speed in. But my main and favorite sport will always be track. In 8th grade I got female scholastic athlete of the year, I was proud of this because academics are very important to me. I've always held myself to high standards when it comes to grades. In high school I've been taking additional online classes that add onto my traditional classes. I have what classes I'm going to take for the next 2 years of high school already planned out so I can be organized about what I would like to do in my future. Thank you for your time!
