The highlight of my high school career so far was going to states twice in a row and placing seventh as a sophomore. That moment meant a lot to me and drives me to become an even better athlete. However, the preparation to get to that point helped me grow, not only as an athlete but as a person. The obstacles and challenges my team and I faced throughout the season taught me the meaning of teamwork, sacrifice, and dedication.
I didn't fully commit to track until middle school when it helped me get through a difficult time in my life. It helped shape me into becoming a disciplined, responsible, and charismatic student-athlete. I'm hoping to find a program that helps me to advance and better myself not only athletically but also academically. I believe I have the capability and talent to compete on a collegiate level and make an impact to a college program with my work-ethic, enthusiasm, and leadership skills.
