I belong amongst the athletes lined up for their events, all hearts beating a little faster and all minds working overtime; visualizing the race to come. I belong with the hard work ethic it takes to finish a tough workout, and later that day I belong with the feeling of sore muscles that are bound to surface. I belong with doing what I love; and I love Track and Field. Track has taught me that I have the ability to be whatever I want to be, I have the ability to be successful; but I have to strive for greatness. Track has taught me how to be strong, confident, patient, mentally tough, supportive, eager, and independent. It is with these characteristics that I take control of my future; it is why I am writing this personal statement right now. I want to be great. I want to make my parents and family proud. Most importantly, however, I want to be proud of myself. I want to know that I put in all my sweat and tears I could spare and that I used every opportunity I received to the fullest extent. This is an opportunity, an opportunity to be seen and hopefully considered to run in college; so here is my closing statement: I am an extremely hard worker and that trait is seen in my everyday activities, track workouts, and especially academics. I know I will go 110% in whatever my future holds and whatever program I have the pleasure to be apart of. Thank you :)
