My collegiate aspirations are twofold. I intend to use my college experience for my personal development; learning who I am as an athlete, a learner and, most importantly, as a person. I aspire to fine tune my performance and development as both a student and a track athlete. I intend to study in the field of sports medicine, which will aide me in my college and professional running career. It is my commitment to honor and leadership that sets me apart from my peers. I have steadily committed, since the sixth grade, to become enough a top tier athlete in character and performance, and my times show this dedication. In the same manner, I have pushed myself to academic excellence. I am part of the Cambridge AICE Program at Palmetto High School. When I complete my Junior year, I will have successfully completed almost two years of college as part of this program. Most athletes will be able to claim similar achievements. I believe what sets me a part is my ability to face failure fearlessly, turning errors and differences into opportunities. It is also my ability to assume responsibility and take the lead regardless of the obstacles I face that make me an asset. In summary, it is my character and faithfulness that set me apart from others and it is why I am confident I will make a valuable addition to any team and college I attend.
