Kaylee Sutton '20 Recruiting Profile

       Hello! My name is Kaylee Sutton, I am a Senior living in St. Augustine FL. I am so excited to move on to the next stage of my life, where I will learn  in depth about my future career and to continue improving on my events in Track & Field! I have a huge passion for fitness and living a healthy life style.  I intend to study linguistics and oceanic and atmospheric sciences.  

     I have always been highly motivated at every stage of my life. Being a three sport athlete and having also competed in triathlons and road races, gives me a diverse background in athletics. I was a gymnast for 6 years, my coach was a collegiate gymnast from Alabama. That is where I learned you need to be in top condition mentally and physically to do any sport you want to excel at. Volleyball came pretty naturally for me, playing for varsity in High School and club ball for many seasons. Starting Track and Field was my best move as there are  so many events that I can challenge myself in and the team is always so supportive for each other. My Junior year, I was awarded "Top Female Athlete" for three consecutive Track meets, bringing 40 points to the team each meet. I am now training for my upcoming season, looking to break more school records and top my PR's! My academics are very important to me, as I want to be as knowledgeable as I can.  My GPA is 3.9 and will finish my Senior year strong.

     Outside of academics and sports, I have volunteered in the community with beach clean ups and the Turtle Washback program.  My family includes an older brother, younger sister and my parents who are my biggest supporters. I am so excited and look forward to being part of a College that embraces  all of the things that I do!
