Personal Statement

Hi! My name is Anna Griffin, and I am an 800m and 1500/1600m runner. I am a rising junior at Davidson Fine Arts in Augusta GA and enjoy participating in my school's track team as well as Lane 4 Track Club. My goal is to have a track and field scholarship at an academically challenging Division 1 college. After having to end my freshman season early due to an injury and losing the ability to compete during the summer of 2023, I realized how much this sport means to me and how blessed I am to be able to run and compete as I do. Having a competitive mindset and a drive to work hard has helped me throughout my running career to be the best I can be and I can't wait to see where hard work will take me in my running career in the future.
