Personal Statement

Greetings from Bowdon, Georgia!!! My name is Averi Lowen and I am a sophomore (2027) at Bowdon High School. I have been running XC for five years. It has always been my dream to run at the collegiate level. I am extremely driven and am dedicated to becoming the absolute best version of myself in all that I do. I am also passionate about my academics as I understand the value of excelling there as well. I intend to major in pediatric medicine in college.

This year was a historic year for me and Bowdon High School as I repeated as state champion at the GHSA state meet. I also won Nike Cross Regionals with a time of 16:59. I also competed in the Nike Cross Nationals in Portland, Oregon. I was named 2024 Atlanta Track Club Female XC runner of the year in the state of Georgia. I was also named the Gatorade Female POY for the state of Georgia. So humbled to be selected for the accolades.
