I have several goals and aspirations that I would like to accomplish while in college. First and foremost, I would like to earn a degree. My current thoughts are in the field of criminology, forensic science or physical therapy, but I know that may change. In addition to earning a degree, I want to pursue my passion of running on a team that will inspire me to reach goals I never thought were obtainable both athletically and personally.
I feel that I am a perfect candidate for an athletic team because I am not only coachable but have the qualities it takes to become a leader. Even though the sports I have chosen in life have a quality of individualism, I have never thought of only my time, my place, my standings but others as well. It has always been important to me that I finish well but equally important that as a team we work together to push each other to be the best we can be. I want to be remembered as a good runner but more importantly I want to be remembered as a good person.
What makes me different? From early on in middle school I have had two goals. One, to be a good athlete and two, to be a good student. I am a good recruit because I am tenacious. I am the athlete first on the field and the last to leave. Knowing that learning does not come easily, I seek to find help and put in the hours it takes to succeed. When you see me run or watch me in a class, you will know that I have given it my all and then some. I may fall short of the lofty goals I have set for myself but rest assured I will never give up trying.
