My name is Madelyn Lewis, I will graduate from Creekside Christian Academy in 2023. I have been running track for four years, but I became part of the varsity team my eight grade year while continuing to run on the middle school team. My eighth grade year I dedicated myself to track and improving my running career. I am very dedicated to my craft and constantly working off season to work on technique and speed. Although I'm still figuring out what my main event is, I am more then willing to try any event my coach puts me in and give it my all. After dealing with a knee injury for the better part of the last two years, the decision was made to have surgery in September of 2021. Recovery was not easy and took longer than expected. I made the hard decision to close the chapter of track in my life and retire. I'm very pleased with my track career and have found peace knowing that I gave track my all. My primary goal now is my academics and getting back to where I was in horseback riding. I strive for academic excellence and achieving my goals. I plan on being a pediatric nurse practitioner and specialize in pediatric cardiothoracic nursing. Thank you to all the coaches who have supported me on my track journey and career.
