Personal Statement

I want to be a difference maker each year. My mom says “make a great day” vs. “have a great day.” I believe with hard work and prayer; I can definitely make my dreams become reality.

I have a spirited passion for track. I’ve been a part of a track team since elementary school. Running makes my life feel more in balance. One accomplishment of mine was earning a Varsity track position with my high school team my Freshman year. My events are the 100m, 200m, and 400m. Although the 100m and 200m are my strongest events, my desire is to also be an amazing 400m runner. Additionally, my high school 4x100m relay team has broken our school record twice. I've had the awesome responsibility of being the anchor leg.

Although athletics is a passion of mine, I’m equally focused on excelling in the classroom. My desire after high-school is to earn athletic and/or academic scholarships with a division 1 university. It would be nice to remain in the southern, south central, eastern, and north eastern regions when choosing a college. However, I am open to the possibilities.

I look forward to what’s next working with NCSA to assist me in my pursuing my athletic and collegiate journey!
