I entered the transfer portal in March 2025, looking to attend a new college in the Fall Semester of 2025. After this outdoor t&f season, I will have 2 years of eligibility available. I graduated high school in 2023 and am currently a sophomore at Greenville University.
Gymnastics was my life for almost 17 years. I was a level 10 for 6 years and wanted to get recruited for the sport but started the process way too late. I also dabbled in high school track and field for a couple of years as a hurdler/sprinter. I was recruited by Greenville University with an opportunity to do both gymnastics and track. Ultimately, I decided to pursue track and field rather than gymnastics, on the basis that I could try out pole vault to keep me acrobatically challenged.
Participating in multiple sports allowed me to be a team player and ultimately a leader to fellow athletes. I enjoy stepping forward with a positive attitude and helping others reach their potential, and collegiate athletics has provided me with the chance to encourage others and grow with them. Because of the values and lessons taught to me by my parents, my education is just as important to me as my athletics. My parents instilled in me the importance of a good education, which led me to be a top student at my high school and currently in college, maintaining a 4.0+ gpa in the honors program.
My collegiate goals include pursuing a solid education in an exercise science related field and the best pole vaulting program I can find. Since starting pole vault a year ago, I have excelled quickly through the ranks. I broke the 20 year school record and reset it numerous times as well as the SLIAC conference record. My first year I received Field Athlete Newcomer of the Year for both indoor and outdoor SLIAC conference championships. I also just finished my 2025 indoor season ranked 21st in the nation for DIII. I am pursuing pole vault heavily now and seriously considering going pro after college. The pole vaulting program is what will ultimately define my decision in transferring to a new school. Having a good exercise science program would be a very nice bonus.
