Hello, my name is Aryanna Johnson and I’m currently a senior at Stockbridge high school. I’ve been running track since middle school in which I fell in love with the sport. However, I didn’t compete competitively until my sophomore year after being recruited to run indoor track with D.C express track club. Since joining the D.C express track club, I’ve improved tremendously throughout the seasons. Many of which I’ve advanced to the state championships for both the 400m dash and triple jump. I want to further expand my athletic career and academic studies in college. I intend on majoring in pre law/criminal justice.
I’ve endured a lot in the past 6 months. With being homeless and having medical issues. I recently had a concussion in 2018 due to playing another sport in which I had a setback. However, I’ve been giving my all since the accident and succeeded in my athletic career more than I could imagine. Due to these past events, I’ve worked hard to reach my goals in track. I believe what I’ve endured has rounded me as a person and has given me the drive to go after anything I want.
